Growing up, I always wanted to be a star. I used to pretend to be an actress walking the red carpet, or on my way up the stage to receive my big award. I even thought about a career in singing until I figured that singing wasn’t necessarily my cup of tea. Today, I love to watch those who give stardom a chance, and it’s shows like “Britain’s Got Talent” that really help those who dream of making it big in the entertainment industry.
The reality talent competition “Britain’s Got Talent” is a favorite amongst Brits as well as other nationalities, worldwide. It’s got a healthy amount of love, laughter, talent, and shock to keep anyone entertained. But, what’s even more lovely is the fact that we get to hear the stories of all of the participants as they come on stage and show off their talent. I must say that each and every one of these people is deserving of being on that platform.
Today you’re going to hear of a young boy who managed to win over everyone’s heart, despite having the mentality that he was not good enough after suffering through a copious amount of bullying for his love of music and his weight.
Kyle Tomlinson is a 15-year-old boy from Sheffield, England who has an insatiable passion for singing. In fact, he entered the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ for the first time when he was just 12 years old. At that time, he was not given the opportunity to go to the second round, but rather, was advised by David Walliams to take on some singing lessons to improve his abilities. The teen took David’s advice, having spent over £2,000 on voice training, and hit the BGT stage once again, three years later.
This time, he completely wowed the judges and the crowd with his spine-chilling version of the song “Hallelujah.” In fact, he didn’t just ‘wow’ them, he won them over in the way that he was awarded the elusive golden buzzer for his enchanting and mesmerizing performance! What an absolute honor!
See Kyle’s amazing and gut-wrenching performance below, and witness the sheer talent and passion in his eyes. It’s no wonder that he was given the golden buzzer!
